Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga invites us to descend, into the body, into sensation, into the living intelligence of eros, as the ground of our awakening. The erotic is not reduced to performance or pleasure but honored as a current of sacred life-force.
This is an invitation to become intimate with our contradictions, to metabolize shame into compassion, to let love inscribe the story we are here to live
Ipsalu asks us to move through the world with both discipline and devotion, weaving somatic insight into the ordinary rituals of daily life. This practice invites us to lean into our contradictions, to hold the messy and meet the shadowed parts with tenderness.
The practice centers:
Erotic reclamation as a form of trauma healing and energetic re-sovereignty
Embodied witnessing: the capacity to feel without collapse, to see without separation
Heart-centered relating rooted in presence, transparency, and mutual recognition
Awakening consciousness through the soma: where the breath, the body, and awareness become one instrument
This four-day course offers an immersive experience in Tantric practices. Rooted in ancient yogic traditions and designed to help you reconnect with your body, deepen your awareness, and build more intentional relationships with yourself and others. Through a balance of structure and exploration, this intensive is open to both singles and couples.
At the heart of the course is the Cosmic Cobra Breath, a breathing technique that works with erotic and life-force energy to support mental clarity, emotional resilience, and expanded self-awareness. Participants are guided toward completion into the first level of this practice, which encourages a shift from reactive patterns into conscious witnessing of one's experience.
The training introduces the Ipsalu Formula, a practical method for cultivating grounded presence, emotional release, and physical vitality.
Core focus areas of Level 1 include:
Cultivating presence and awareness in the body
Disrupting habitual narratives and reactive patterns
Exploring the relationship between breath, sensation, and consciousness
Integrating mind, body, and spirit through movement, sound, and stillness
This course invites you to explore:
How to connect erotic energy with emotional openness, creativity, and a deeper sense of meaning
Practices for working with erotic life-force energy to support physical vitality and artistic or personal expression
Ways to cultivate presence and intimacy, with yourself or a partner, through grounded, embodied attention
Tools to identify and release physical and emotional blocks held in the body
Practices to quiet the inner critic and develop compassion for your full, complex self
Techniques to sustain and deepen erotic connection and intimate engagement over time
Support for moving beyond limiting narratives into a more empowered, authentic way of being
A space to clarify and align with your core values, purpose, or inner direction
This work is immersive and transformative; joyful, embodied, and respectful. You'll be supported through movement, music, massage, and playful interaction while working with subtle energies. While erotic energy is honored and consciously explored, there is no explicit erotic or sexual activity in the space.
This is a space of integrity, care, and deep listening — rooted in respect for each participant’s boundaries, agency, and lived experience.
What is IPSALU Tantra Kriya Yoga?
Ipsalu Tantra is a modern spiritual methodology that combines elements of Tantra, Kundalini Yoga, and Kriya Yoga, developed with the aim of accelerating personal and spiritual awakening through the conscious use of life-force (or erotic) energy.
Core Practices – Ipsalu teaches a range of tools, including:
Cobra Breath: A core breathing technique said to transmute erotic or kundalini energy up the spine to activate the brain and expand consciousness
Meditation and Visualization: Used to develop witness consciousness and regulate emotional states
Breathwork and Movement: To clear energy blocks and awaken bodily intelligenceEmotional Release Techniques: To process unresolved psychological or energetic material
Partnered and Solo Practices: Many practices can be done solo or with a partner, and often involve consent-centered touch, gaze, and energetic exchange
In a culture that conditions us to override our intuition, numb our sensations, and distrust the wisdom of our own bodies, these are practices towards remembrance.
It invites us to return to the intelligence of our felt experience, to reclaim eros not as commodity or danger, but as a vital current of aliveness. In a world that rewards dissociation and disembodiment, these practices help us reweave the severed threads between mind, body, and spirit. Restoring our capacity to feel, to choose, and to love with clarity.
Meet your GUIDES: This course is co lead by Nayano and Aly Khan.
Nayano
Nayano is certified to teach Levels 1-4 and Modules 1-3 Teacher Training
I am Nayano, one of the senior Ipsalu teachers. I began my Ipsalu practice in early 2000 when Bodhi came to South Florida to facilitate a Level 1. I was a massage therapist and Reiki master at that time and had been looking for a Tantric path. However the other Tantras did not feel balanced to me, nor did I feel the sense of well-being and integrity my soul was longing for. After the course I felt “home” and this was the science that would help me heal.
After years of practice, I now teach Courses in several different countries including US, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia and France. More destinations are opening up throughout the world. It is an exciting time, as more of humanity is prepared to take on this practice of self-mastery and awakening.
Aly Khan Ladha
My name is Aly Khan and I am a co-founder of Brave Earth, a Center for Applied Cultural Transition. This includes a healing center, community, and regenerative farm located in the RainForest of Costa Rica.
I spent over a decade in the finance industry and was disillusioned by the neoliberal capitalist system. I have reprioritized my life energy to focus on being in solidarity to Gaia and contributing to systems of change. This includes helping humanity remember how to connect to themselves, others and source.
Over the last seven years at Brave Earth, I have led many functions including build and finance, and co-led operations, programming and permaculture. In the past decade, I have done extensive training with the Peruvian Shipibo lineage, Reiki, Ayurveda, and Authentic Relating.
After nearly 10 years of apprenticing and practicing IPSALU Kriya Tantra, I am now an Ipsalu Level 1 Cobra Breath teacher. I am deeply honored and excited to guide this course and share ancient wisdom that has helped me grow and connect.
NOURISHMENT
We will be nourishing with organic, plant-based, locally-sourced foods that come from our regenerative farm or other local farms.
BRAVE EARTH
Brave Earth, Center for Applied Cultural Transition, is a living laboratory rooted in principles of regeneration, resiliency and reciprocity. We provide immersive experiences in the Nature that share alternative ways of living and being that are suitable for modernity and contextually relevant for the rapidly changing world we live in.
Immerse yourself in the majesty and mystery of the rainforest. Brave Earth is located between San Ramon and La Fortuna, nestled in between Arenal Volcano and the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, the largest reserve of protected wildlife in Costa Rica.
As a living lab, we have experimented with different building modalities using AirCrete and materials sourced on the land including bamboo and adobe. We have implemented biophilic design, closed-loop systems and permaculture design principles. Ornamental, food, and medicinal gardens surround the center as well as hiking trials to a nearby river, and a natural swimming pond.
Shared spaces are where we communally gather and are designed to feel symbiotic with the environment in which we are embedded.

POLARITY BALANCE
We are seeking polarity and gender balance for this course. We all embody the divine masculine (known as Shiva) aspects as well as the divine feminine (known as Shakti). Both Shiva and Shakti are alive in both men and women. In union, Shiva and Shakti live in harmony. The image of Babaji, a beloved androgynous avatar, shows the union of masculine and feminine aspects of our being, which brings about a mystical wholeness within.
Typically, we have participants who identify as women (Shakti energy) enroll first and need to create a waitlist as we sign up participants who identify as men (Shiva energy) . To help with our inquiry, we will ask you to identify your gender preference at the time of registration.
If you have any questions or are in a same sex partnership and have preference in a certain polarity, please do not hesitate to email us here so we are aware of your inquiry.
*Transport to and from the center or airfare are not included.
