JOIN OTHER WOMEN, NON-BINARY, AND GENDER NON-CONFORMING ACTIVISTS, ORGANIZERS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS, AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS IN A TAILORED WORKSHOP FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REFLECTION, SUPPORT, GROWTH AND PLANNING. WE WELCOME ACTIVISTS AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE.

WORKSHOP CONTENT:
We believe the best leaders pay attention to both their own growth and personal needs and also nurture their campaign, organizing or movement role with intent to drive specific outcomes. Leading in today’s world has become more difficult, with each of us rising to take responsibility for cultural competence, trauma and anxiety management, complex family needs, and external unknowns such as a global health pandemic. While course content will be customized based on preliminary interviews with attendees, the workshop will cover the following:
Strategic planning for your organization or campaign: Set 2023 organizational goals or build a Q1 workplan that drives both social change impact and personal joy.
Movement building and the partnerships that matter: Working in coalitions and across sectors to advance a multiracial feminist democracy, an inclusive economy, and a healthy environment.
Donor organizing and fundraising plan development: Innovative and sustainable approaches to revenue generation
Measuring for impact: Metrics that matter, and how to know we’re winning in the face of so much opposition
The stories we tell: Beyond the Story of Self, Us, and Now, what is the role of narrative and storytelling?
Leadership development: From building the best board to leveraging distributive leadership models for stronger outcomes
Learn to develop a higher level of self-awareness to better navigate challenging situations and relationships:
Surface and transcend limiting assumptions.
Illuminate your blind-spots and unconscious patterns to deepen your self-development.
Pinpoint and uproot the beliefs and behaviors that hold you back and help you unlock your potential so can move forward.
Overcome forces of inertia and transform your work and life.
Access your inner wisdom and build your resources and resilience.
Set better boundaries, manage conflict, and develop healthier, happier relationships.
Find a better work/life balance.

ABOUT BRAVE EARTH
Brave Earth, Center for Applied Cultural Transition, is a living laboratory rooted in principles of regeneration, resiliency and reciprocity. We provide immersive experiences in the Nature that share alternative ways of living and being that are suitable for modernity and contextually relevant for the rapidly changing world we live in.
Immerse yourself in the majesty and mystery of the rainforest. Brave Earth is located between San Ramon and La Fortuna, nestled in between Arenal Volcano and the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, the largest reserve of protected wildlife in Costa Rica.
As a living lab, we have experimented with different building modalities using AirCrete and materials sourced on the land including bamboo and adobe. We have implemented biophilic design, closed-loop systems and permaculture design principles. Ornamental, food, and medicinal gardens surround the center as well as hiking trials to a nearby river, and a natural swimming pond.
